XTension Version 9.4.39

Released: 3/30/2021

Download for all Supported OS versions; XTension. v 9.4.39 (build 1039)

NOTE: This disk image no longer includes the older legacy plugins that will not be updated for newer OS versions. If you still need to run the CM19, CM15, ZTroller or the various Smarthome X10 interfaces please download the legacy plugins package from here and install the ones you need via the “Install Plugin” menu item of the “Database” menu.
Minimum System Version for this release is OSX 10.10 but not all plugins may function properly prior to 10.13. Please start the necessary work to upgrade to at least 10.13 for future builds will no longer be able to support 10.10.

Maximum supported version is Big Sur but some problems and cosmetic issues remain when running on Apple Silicon.
This version is built with the latest compilers and libraries available and should be able to run on Big Sur with minimal issues, though some remain. and you should report them to be if you are crazy enough to be running that on your server…

9.4.39 Change Log:

  • NEW: ngrok.io support for secure tunnels through their service for XTension web interfaces and websocket interfaces (GEORGE! If you’re reading this I can show you how to setup your websocket passthrough via the now built in support for this, drop me a note off the list)
  • Hubitat: Door locks are now working properly.
  • Hubitat: when sending values to sensor units an error is no longer logged and the values are properly sent.
  • Removed the various deprecated warnings that were still showing up for the RFX interfaces. They are now officially un-deprecated.
  • Home Kit: Fixed several errors that could happen when converting the float values of units into integers for specific control points in home kit.
  • TP Link: Fixed the continual logging of “some light is now responding” messages that would have been logged if any device became unresponsive for any length of time.
  • TP Link: The TP Link plugin now uses the built in python3 interpreter and so no longer requires a separate python3 install on the machine.
  • Fix to the plugin includes to more reliably convert unknown data types from XTension into appropriate python primitives. This affected some edge conditions in some plugins that I am converting to use python3 and will make things easier going forward.
  • XTension Kit Receiver: Added an RF Button unit type that can be shared across multiple arduino based receivers for improved reception performance. This is not yet supported in any shipping devices but is working well in testing. Limited at the moment to 433mhz remote control transmitters and only supported for reception but more is coming, possibly even the ability to receive Oregon or other temp sensors if I can get that working properly for all 3 oregon protocols. That is still a stumbling block.
